Back to school!

And the family's kids are back to school as we all get off summer vacation and back onto school mode. This is going to be a great year as Wesley Johnson celebrates his first year in grade school, and Clara Stickney in her final year of Elementary. We don't want to forget about the lovely president of the Stickney Family council, who is in 2nd grade now! Let's remember Paige Johnson, who will be attending preschool 3 afternoons a week. Who knows what new adventures lay beyond!

The Winner is...

      Recently, the Chapman family and the Stickney family went to the Stickney's property in Packwood. There, Brian Stickney set up a horseshoe game area. The first game was originally Cameron Chapman and Craig Chapman vs. Brian Stickney and Nicole Stickney. It was a slow game, the four decided to play to 11 instead of 21. About a third of the way through the game, Nicole Stickney traded out her spot in the game to me, Clara Stickney. The kids threw from another line, much closer. I scored several points, putting the Stickneys in the lead. Brian Stickney took a time out, asking Nicole to play in his place. Lauren Stickney instead was brought in, and everyone thought she wouldn't make a single point. Lauren proved them wrong. Amazing, as she flung the horseshoes and made it several times! In 5 minutes, the Stickneys were a point away from victory. Lauren threw the first Horseshoe, It did not make it. She took a deep breath, and threw it in a perfect arc. There it landed. Craig went, only knocking it off would save his team. He was unsuccessful. Lauren had won the game!!!!!!!! There is only one question. Who will she beat next?
